Driving north:
Take the slip road left off the A1, marked A19 Tyne Tunnel, with the ferry icons. Take the A1068 at the roundabout (second left). After two miles take the first left at the roundabout, continuing on the A1068. Continue straight over the next roundabout (two miles) and after crossing the River Blyth, follow the road round to the right and up the hill.
The entrance to Hartford Hall is clearly marked 200 yards further on.

Driving south:
After passing Morpeth on the A1 south, watch for the signs for the Tyne Tunnel and ferry terminal and proceed as above.
